The Major Arc is Curve Lab's middle-sized wooden balance board – a little shorter than the Perfect Arc, and a step up from the Little Arc. It suits children from around 18 months right up to 12 years.
Rock on it, bridge it, slide down it, or turn it into a den: it's open-ended play that quietly builds balance, strength and coordination.
Why we love it
- Sized for toddlers to tweens, so it grows with them
- Holds up to 165 kg, so grown-ups can join in
- 16 cm high as a bridge for more adventurous climbing
- A considered alternative to plastic play equipment

Your questions, answered
Which Curve Lab balance board should I choose?
Little Arc suits ages 0–3, Major Arc 1.5–12, and Perfect Arc is the largest, for ages 2 to adult. If you have a small space or a younger toddler, Major Arc is a good middle ground.
What are balance boards good for?
They encourage balance, core strength and body awareness, and because they have no set purpose, children invent their own games with them.
